Risk Management

MESA operates a proactive, aggressive risk management program which incorporates education, prevention, and review.  Physicians and midlevels attend organized continuing medical education,  participate in regular peer review, and receive frequent feedback regarding quality of care and risk management issues.  Patient care, physician documentation, and quality identifiers are reviewed randomly and frequently.  In addition, any risk management concerns that arise are dealt with immediately and aggressively.  MESA believes that the medical environment and the emergency medicine field in particular demands continual vigilance and active participation by all providers to maximize quality of care and reduce the ever-present liability.
