Marshall Emergency Services Associates (MESA) was founded in 1999 in a single facility and has since grown to become a respected regional provider of emergency and hospital medicine services.  MESA has had a controlled growth driven by a reputation for excellent quality of care and its responsiveness to the individual needs of the local community and hospital administration.  MESA now serves hospitals and regional centers in rural, suburban, and urban areas, establishing a new benchmark in emergency and hospital medicine with progressive programs to advance patient satisfaction, efficiency of care, physician education, and quality of care.

MESA is an Emergency and Hospital Medicine group designed by physicians, for physicians.  The group is dedicated to maximizing physician satisfaction and quality of life, and the physicians have control over both their individual career as well as the group as a whole.  Physicians oversee and run all aspects of the group from the amount of provider coverage to scheduling to ED processes, and therefore make the decisions that directly affect their work environment and job satisfaction. 

Individually, the physicians decide in what facility they work and how many shifts they work.  Administrative duties are not assigned but are available to those who choose to undertake more responsibilities.  With this control over the direction of their career as well as flexible scheduling, the physicians in the group enjoy a quality of life and career that is determined by their own desires rather than the needs of others.
